We operate multiple LNSs connected to multiple links in to carriers. This is partly for redundancy (if one of the LNSs or links break) and partly for load (to handle multiple gigabits of traffic).
 
ThisThe number of LNSs we run has grown over time with four in 2012, seven in April 2016, nine in January 2017, twelve in November 2017, 14 in September 2018...
We currently have a mix FireBrick FB6000 and FireBrick FB9000 LNSs in use:
*23 FB6000: A-W.Gormless
*3 FB9000 LNS X-Z.Witless
 
We currently have a mix FireBrick FB6000 and FireBrick FB9000 LNSs inand useoperate them as separate 'pools':

The LNSs named 'Witless' handle faster FTTP and G.Fast circuits, whilst the 'Gormless' LNS handle the rest, including mobile data SIMs.

CityFibre connections tend to get moved at 4AM.
You can set the preferred time for the reconnect to happen to your own line(s), the default is 1AM. There is a setting on the control pages for this:
