* WAN loss effects more noticable - some subscribers may consider this an advantage. * Diagnostics - customer may not see what the ADSL line statistics such as SNR are, if the CPE is to be transparent. * Multicast - the ISP will get a copy of these unless filtered by the CPE, which will add to costs.
