We tested with a machine on our office network how our services would work just using just native IPv6. We used an apple laptop, and disabled IPv6 and enabled IPv6. -we suspect similar results on an ADSL line - we'll test this later on.

Here are some of the results:

!!Working:

  • Pinging www.google.com (ping6)
  • Web page browsing to aa.net.uk (firefox)
  • Web page browsing to google.co.uk (firefox)
  • Web page browsing to revk.www.me.uk (firefox - but some parts are missing, such as top header )
  • AAISP Webmail
  • AAISP sending email (smtp.aaisp.net.uk, with Thunderbird)
  • AAISP receiving email (imap on Apple Mail App)

!!Not quite working:

  • AAISP receiving email (imap on Thunderbird) - gave refused, need more logging on the mail server (Mail App worked)
  • AAISP VoIP - Phone server does not yet support IPv6

!!Not Working at all

  • Any IPv4 access!
