VoIP - Allow list: Difference between revisions

The allow list feature severely restricts the calls and SMSs the number can call and be called from.

For example, you can give the voip phone (or sip2sim) to a child, and they can only call their parents, and only their parents can call them.

Enable this feature by ticking the allow list box - either in the 'Incoming' or 'Outgoing' tabs, as the one allow list applies to both incoming and outgoing calls.
Fill in up to 10 numbers in the 'Also Ring' lists, which ceases to be an also ring list and becomes the allow list instead.

Your local equipment may support a 'dial plan', which can be used to define numbers which may be dialled (and also do more fancy things like adding prefixes, rewriting numbers, etc.)
