If you have Static Routes setup, then disable DNS completely in the above settings page. Even though the setting is set to LAN, with a static route, the DNS will still be open due to a bug in the router.
If you have publicly routed IP addresses on the LAN side of the router then you may wish to disable the resolver completely instead of restricting it to the LAN, as the LAN IPs will be still be accessible from the outside world.
