If you're looking for a router/firewall platform, the Vigor 120 works well with [http://pfSense.org pfSense] on both 20CN and 21CN BT ADSL lines. pfSense does not yet have IPV6 support though. If you need IPV6 support then you might want to look at [http://m0n0.ch/wall/ MonoWall], a sister project of pfSense. Both projects are built on FreeBSD Unix, but setup and management is done in your web browser.

The Vigor 120 is a modem able to bridge on to Ethernet.

Here are some notes on the device:

IPV6 problems on Firmware 3.2.4.1

  • The release notes for 3.2.4.3 say "Corrected: IPv6 connection fails when the modem is in PPPoA mode". Version before this will result in IPv6 being corrupted.
  • Download firwmare from Draytek
