Overview

Once an eSIM has been setup on a device, it cannot be 'moved' like a physical SIM to a new device. Instead, support staff need to assign a replacement eSIM.

Andrews and Arnold get charged for this.

When you need to 'move' your SIP2SIM ONSIM eSIM from one device to another, contact support and ask them to press this button on the system:

'Assign replacement SIM'

This will automatically copy over the settings, assign you in your control panel a new eSIM with a fresh new QR code for you to scan on the new device.

NB: There is another, unrelated procedure where support staff will email ONSIM for a new QR Code URL. This is not what to ask for - as this is not the process for when you get a new phone. The 'Assign replacement SIM' procedure is fully automated does not require staff to contact ONSIM.
