Notes Only use as a 'bridge', the router has a number of vulnerabilities when used in router mode.

Or, maybe these typical scenarios will help you decide:

scenario Suggestion
I'm a home user, wanting wifi and wired connections for ADSL or FTTC T582-small.png Technicolor 582n
I have my own routerboard or similar router with ADSL DSL 320B D1.png DLINK DSL 320B.

In bridge mode, your router can then talk PPPoE to it.

I'd like to do bonding with ADSL/FTTC 2700-small.png FireBrick 2500, and use a DLINK modem if you have ADSL lines. Or use a 2700 of you have faster lines and may want fallback to 3G.
