Web hosting usage is charged by the peak storage used during the month, it is itemised on the invoice.

Webspace has always been advertised as being £1 per Gb per month. However,we had not been monitoring the usage until November 2013 and have been charging £1 regardless of the actual space used. From February 2014 we will start charging for each gigabyte used.
