Usually a Phone line fault is black and white, and generally you have a problem with:
- No dial tone
- Unable to receive calls
If your broadband is down, then it is good to test the phone line.
- Plug a phone in to the test socket
- Do you have dial tone?
- Dial calling 17070, and listen to the recorded message which will read your number
- Is this the correct number?
